A Forest Management Plan Tailored to You
East Fork Forestry offers management plans tailored to your particular needs and situation. Most plans fall into these two categories:
- Management plans that meet the Idaho state requirements for reduced property taxes. These plans are shorter and less expensive.
- Management plans that meet requirements for federal financial assistance programs and Tree Farm membership. These plans are much more detailed, provide an estimate of timber volume on the property, and provide in-depth information and future recommendations. These plans are more expensive. These plans also meet the requirements for reduced property taxes.

Timber Valuation for Estate Settlement
East Fork Forestry can provide you with an estimated timber value to settle an estate. We will provide an accurate, statistically sound estimate of timber volume, and a summary of delivered log prices and logging costs.
This information will be used to estimate a total value of the standing timber. This would be the value if every tree was removed from the property and sold to a lumber mill. If requested, we can also provide estimated values from typical harvesting regimes more common for small private landowners.
Forest Inventory / Timber Cruise
We will provide an accurate, statistically sound estimate of the standing net volume on your property. We can also provide future volume estimations and compare the productivity effects of different timber harvest levels over time.
Forest Mapping
We provide property maps and soil maps with all forest management plans. If you have other forest mapping needs, we can take care of those as well!
